The Carmello Rug Sunset. Soft taupe, grey, and off-white tones are warmed by touches of mustard and brown, creating a luminous abstract design with rich texture and subtle sheen.
The Carmello Rug Sunset layers soft neutrals with warm golden accents to create an atmospheric, contemporary design inspired by the shifting colours of late-day light. Machine woven from 100% polyester, its super-soft surface combines high-low texture with a subtle lustrous sheen, bringing depth and movement to the abstract pattern.
The Sunset colourway blends taupe, light grey, off-white, and brown with scattered touches of muted mustard. Rather than appearing as a strong contrasting colour, the warmer golden tones emerge organically throughout the surface, adding warmth and dimension to an otherwise serene neutral palette.
Carmello's softly distressed pattern gives Sunset the character of a naturally weathered textile. Areas of concentrated colour dissolve into quieter passages of cream and grey, creating a beautifully layered effect that feels expressive without becoming busy. The result is a rug that introduces warmth and personality while remaining remarkably easy to incorporate into a room.
A 0.35" medium pile provides a soft and comfortable feel underfoot, while the high-low construction creates subtle changes in texture across the surface. Lustrous fibres gently catch the surrounding light, further enhancing the tonal variation and giving the rug a different character throughout the day.
Sunset pairs beautifully with walnut, oak, cognac and brown leather, cream upholstery, linen, boucle, brass, and natural stone. Its balance of warm and cool neutrals makes it particularly well suited to contemporary, Scandinavian, organic modern, mid-century, coastal, and transitional interiors.

Designed for Everyday Living
Polyester rugs offer a practical combination of softness, durability, and colour clarity, making them particularly well suited to everyday living. The fibres allow nuanced colour combinations and intricate surface details to remain beautifully defined while providing a comfortable feel underfoot.
Carmello's high-low construction and subtle sheen elevate the material beyond a conventional machine-woven rug. Variations in pile height interact with the surrounding light, emphasizing the distressed pattern and allowing Sunset's warm golden accents to emerge naturally throughout the design.
The result is a rug that feels layered and sophisticated while retaining the practicality and consistency of modern construction.
