Carmello Rug Palazzo

The Carmello Rug Palazzo takes inspiration from the faded ornamentation and beautifully aged surfaces of historic European interiors. Machine woven from 100% polyester, its super-soft surface combines high-low texture with a subtle lustrous sheen, revealing intricate details that shift gently with the surrounding light.

The Palazzo colourway layers light grey, off-white, soft grey, and taupe into a quiet, tonal palette. Beneath the softly distressed surface, delicate geometric and ornamental motifs emerge and recede, giving the rug the appearance of an antique textile whose pattern has been gently softened over time.

Rather than presenting its pattern with strong contrast, Palazzo allows the design to reveal itself gradually. Areas of intricate detail dissolve into quieter passages of colour and texture, creating a sophisticated sense of age and patina while keeping the overall look light and contemporary.

A 0.35" medium pile provides a soft, comfortable feel underfoot, while the high-low construction gives the intricate pattern additional dimension. Lustrous fibres subtly catch the light, emphasizing different details throughout the day and adding a refined quality to the neutral palette.

Palazzo pairs beautifully with walnut and oak, linen, boucle, leather, marble, limestone, travertine, and aged metals. Its combination of old-world pattern and understated colouring makes it especially suited to contemporary, European-inspired, transitional, organic modern, and collected interiors.

Designed for Everyday Living

Polyester rugs offer a practical combination of softness, durability, and colour clarity, making them particularly well suited to everyday living. The fibres allow intricate patterns and subtle tonal variations to remain beautifully defined while providing a comfortable surface underfoot.

Carmello's high-low construction and lustrous finish give Palazzo an especially layered quality. Changes in pile height allow its ornamental motifs to appear and disappear across the surface, recreating some of the depth and visual variation associated with naturally aged textiles.

The result is a rug that captures the romance of an antique-inspired pattern while maintaining the softness, versatility, and practicality of modern construction.
