The Arden Handmade Rug Charcoal combines a tailored geometric design with the organic character of a hand-woven textile. Made from 100% recycled PET yarn, its richly variegated surface blends medium grey, light slate, black, and deep brown into a sophisticated charcoal palette.
The design is created through changes in the direction of the weave, forming a series of concentric rectangular lines that draw the eye inward. Rather than relying on contrasting colours or a bold printed pattern, Arden uses texture and construction to create its geometry, giving the rug a quieter, more architectural presence.
Subtle variations throughout the yarn soften the darker palette, with warm brown undertones and lighter flecks adding depth and preventing the charcoal from feeling flat or overly cool. The result is particularly beautiful alongside walnut, oak, leather, stone, linen, and warm neutral upholstery.
With its no-pile construction and slim 0.3" profile, Arden sits neatly beneath furniture and offers a clean, streamlined look. Its combination of texture, tonal colour, and restrained pattern makes it an easy foundation for contemporary, Scandinavian, industrial, and West Coast interiors.

Recycled PET yarn transforms recycled plastic materials into durable fibres that can be woven into surprisingly tactile textiles. It offers a practical alternative to natural fibres while still providing the warmth, texture, and visual character we look for in a beautifully made rug.
In the Arden Rug, the hand-woven construction highlights the natural variation within the yarn, creating subtle shifts between charcoal, slate, brown, and black. These variations give the surface a more organic, dimensional quality while complementing the rug's structured geometric design.
Its low-profile construction also makes Arden particularly versatile for everyday living, offering plenty of visual texture without the bulk of a traditional pile rug.
